philosophies. In short, traditional arts that have been mod-
ernized are now coming to the forefront. As a practitioner
of this craft, I have started to gain recognition and respect
within these art movements.

How did the “The Best of The Best” award you re-
ceived in 2012 impact your career?
There’s a school in England called the London School of
Economic Science, though its name suggests economics,
it is actually a school of philosophy. Its founding principle
is based on the ideas of Gurdjieff, a philosopher rooted in
Sufism. This school operates on the idea of “sharing” and
emphasizes collaborative growth. You can see artworks in
museums, collections, galleries, or other venues, but rarely
do you get the opportunity to witness the excitement of
their creation. To bridge this gap, a program called Art in
Action was initiated. Over time, it developed into an inter-
national event. Around 250-300 artists from all over the
world are invited to participate, where they create art over
four days. Painters paint, sculptors sculpt, and artisans
from various fields like woodworking, textiles, ceramics,
and jewelry demonstrate their craft. I represent the art of
ebru (marbling). Art in Action is a very popular art festival
in England, and they usually don’t invite the same artist
for more than three or four years to ensure they present
different arts and artists to art enthusiasts. However, due
to the intriguing nature and quick results of ebru, I was for-
tunate enough to participate 22 times. The festival draws
about 25,000–30,000 visitors over four days. Since these
visits are not always sufficient for meaningful interaction
